What happens if I forget my Login ID?
If you do not know the Login ID, please look in the materials provided to you by your school.

What should I do if I am having problems creating my account?
Open the AlcoholEdu program in its own browser window and not within a frame of your school website or your email client. You can do this by opening a new browser window and copying and pasting the following URL into the address field: http://highschool.alcoholedu.com
Enter the Login ID exactly as it was given to you. After entering the Login ID, if you cannot progress on to the registration page, please ask your teacher for help.
The registration page will ask you to enter additional information about yourself so that we may create an account for you. If you receive ERRORS when attempting to submit your registration information this may be an indication that your computer does not meet our minimum system requirements. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Try switching to another browser. We support IE, Firefox and Safari.
- Disable all popup blockers and 3rd party toolbars.
- Ensure cookies are enabled on your browser to accept any cookies from "alcoholedu.com".
- Try clearing your cache.
- Reboot
- Try using another computer (in the library or computer lab, for instance).
After trying the above steps, if you still cannot register, please ask your teacher for help.

exactly as you entered it when you signed up for the course. If you have forgotten this information, please ask your teacher for help.

What if I am having trouble accessing Part 2?
Approximately 30 days after you have completed
Part 1, you will be notified by your teacher to login and complete
Part 2 of the course. If it has not been at least 30 days since you completed Part 1, you will not be able to access Part 2. If you believe more than 30 days have passed, please contact your teacher for help.

How can I ensure that my progress in the course is saved before I logout?
You may exit the course using the
"Logout" button at the top right of your screen.
Note: Before you log out of the course, be sure to
click the "Next" button at the end of a section. If you fail to do this, the system
will not record your progress and you will have to repeat that section when you log back in the next time.

Course Navigation & Settings
How do I navigate through the course?
You may navigate through the course by using the
"Next" or action buttons at the bottom of each screen.
Do NOT use the "Back" button on your browser while taking the course as this can cause significant problems with your progress through the course.

What should I do if I have trouble getting past a section?
If you are experiencing difficulties with the
VIDEOS or other
FLASH CONTENT FREEZING, BUFFERING, or you are having trouble clicking the
NEXT BUTTON please follow the suggestions listed below:
1. Close all other applications and tabs (i.e. iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, etc.). Additionally, do not have any CDs or DVDs playing on your computer while viewing the course.
2. If you are using wireless, connect directly to the internet for a faster connection.
3. Open the AlcoholEdu program in its own browser window and not within a frame of your school website or your email client. Ensure you are going directly to the course by copying and pasting http://highschool.alcoholedu.com into the address field on your browser.
4. Log into your account and click "Settings" at the top of your screen. Then choose "Audio Only" from the Media Options. This option will not require as much bandwidth in case your internet connection is to slow or congested.
Important Note: You may need to click the refresh button in your course browser for the new setting to take immediate effect.
5. Try another browser. We support IE, Firefox and Safari.
6. Try upgrading the version of Flash or reinstalling it, even if you believe you have the latest version.
7. Disable all popup blockers and 3rd party toolbars.
8. Reboot
9. Try using another computer (in the library or computer lab, for instance).
10. Try accessing the course during non-peak network hours (i.e., in the morning).
Make sure you wait at least 5 minutes to see if the file will download properly. The file may just need some extra time if your Internet connection is congested. If you continue to have problems, please contact your teacher for further help.

How do I review parts of the course that I have already seen?
To review different parts of the course, use the
Course Navigation Bar on the left side of the screen.
Note: You can only review the parts of the course that you have already completed. You will not be able to access some areas of the course prior to Survey 1.

"Back" button to review content.

How do I turn on closed captioning?
To enable closed captioning, click on the
Settings button on the top right of the screen. Under
"Media Settings," check off the box to enable closed captioning. Then click on
"Okay, use these settings".
Important Note:You may need to click the refresh button (F5) in your course browser for the new setting(s) to take immediate effect.

The Exam
When will I get the Exam?
You will get the Exam at the end of Part 1 of the course, while you are inside
"My House".

What do I need to do to prepare for the Exam?
We recommend that you take notes on core content before taking the Exam. You may also review parts of the course that you have already completed by using the
Course Navigation Bar on the left side of the screen.
Once you start the Exam, please keep the following things in mind to avoid being forced to retake the Exam:
- Take the Exam in one sitting.
- Do not close the window before completing the Exam.
- Do not use your browser's "Back" button.
- Do not open another browser window.

What do I need to get on the Exam to pass it?
Each school sets its own requirements for passing the Exam. Please check with your teacher to know the specific requirements set by your school.

Can I retake the Exam if I don't pass it?
Once you have completed the Final Exam, you will receive a grade. If you failed the exam you may retake it as many times as you need to until you pass.
To retake the Exam, please return to the course by logging on to:

Once logged in, you will be taken to the "My Resources" page. At the top of the page, click on the link to "Retake the Exam."

What should I do if I there is a problem with my Exam?
If you experience a problem with your Exam, please contact your teacher for further assistance.
Remember to follow these steps when taking the Exam to avoid technical difficulty:
- Take the Exam in one sitting.
- Do not close the window before completing the Exam.
- Do not use your browser's "Back" button.
- Do not open another browser window.

Who gets the Exam score(s)?
Your teacher will be notified of your final exam grade. How you answered particular Exam questions is kept confidential and not reported.

My Interaction with the Course
How long does this course take to complete?
It should take about 90 minutes to complete
Part 1 of the course. It should take between 15 and 20 minutes to complete
Part 2.
You will be notified by your teacher to complete Part 2 of the course approximately 30 days after completing Part 1.

Do I have to complete the course in one sitting?
No. You
can complete the course in one sitting, or you can take breaks. If you take a break, we recommend that you wait until you have completed one of the Modules.
